Susan Cohn Rockefeller

Susan is a documentary filmmaker whose in-depth look at critical issues in our world has garnered top awards at many film festivals across the United States and around the world. Her recent efforts include producing and directing the HBO documentary, Making the Crooked Straight, which received the 2011 Christopher Award, and co-producing the internationally acclaimed A Sea Change Susan is currently on the festival circuit for Striking a Chord which brings attention to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), educates the public about challenges that many soldiers face, and shows the power of music to connect people from all walks of life. She is also on the festival circuit with her most recent film about mermaids and ocean health, Mission of Mermaids.

When she is not making films, Susan designs message-inspired jewelry, sits on the boards of Oceana and the Global Leadership Council for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), as well as the program committee for The Stone Barns for Sustainable Agriculture. Susan is married and lives with her husband and children in New York City.
